Orest Stelmach

Orest has over 18 years of broad capital markets experience and is currently a Managing Director at George Weiss Associates. He is an observer of the boards of OnFiber and Xambala. Orest is a Senior Advisor & SBIC Director at TeleSoft.
Prior to George Weiss Associates, Orest was a Managing Director at Steinberg Priest & Sloane Capital Management in New York, where he created and managed a hedge fund and long-only positions focused on the debt and public equity of leveraged companies. Prior to this, Orest was a Managing Director and High Yield Portfolio Manager at the Carlyle Group, a private global investment firm, headquartered in Washington, D.C. Prior to this, he was a Senior Vice President and the Chief Investment Officer of TIG Holdings, Inc, an insurance holding company with over $6 billion in total assets. Orest has also held various positions at Aetna Life Insurance and Annuity including Vice President and Co-Head of Fixed Income Investments where he managed a $6 billion diversified portfolio of bond and stocks and mutual funds.
Orest received an M.B.A. in Finance and International Business from University of Chicago, and an A.B. in Economics and Mathematics from Dartmouth College.
