Dorothy An
Legal Counsel
Dorothy has 20 years of experience as legal counsel to technology companies, mainly in the networking, communications, software and Internet sectors.
Prior to joining TeleSoft, Dorothy served as General Counsel for various public and private companies, including Internap, Centillium Communications, Ishoni Networks and PlanetRx, where she managed all legal affairs for the companies, including SEC compliance, M&A, corporate governance, financings, sales and marketing, licensing, litigation, intellectual property and employment matters. Prior to that, Dorothy was one of the early lawyers at Cisco Systems, serving first as Managing Attorney for the Intercontinental Operations covering Asia Pacific, Latin America and Canada, which was one of the fastest growing regions for the company, and for the consumer/small business product line worldwide. She then served as lead counsel for another of Cisco’s fastest-growing businesses, the $2 billion Consumer Advocacy services organization. Dorothy started her legal career as outside corporate counsel to a wide range of companies, from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies, focusing on venture capital financings, M&A transactions, public offerings and SEC reporting, most recently at Fenwick & West.
Dorothy received an A.B. degree, magna cum laude in Government from Harvard College, where she was a reporter for the Harvard Crimson and an editor of the Harvard International Review. She was also a Visiting Scholar in Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Oxford University, where she was a writer for the university newspaper and a member of the St. John’s College rowing team. Dorothy received her J.D. degree from Stanford Law School, where she developed her love of the Bay Area.
Dorothy is an avid runner, international traveler, sports fan and enjoys the outdoors.
